.....Tagkawayan 101….part 3….a town is born…


 .......Executive Order No.316 was signed on December 31, 1940 separating the barrios of Aloneros, Bagong Silang, Balogo, Cabibihan, Danlagan, Cabugwang, Kandalapdap, Malbog, Manato, Mangayao, Kinatakutan, Seguiwan and Tagkawayan from the Municipality of Guinayangan and organized into an independent Municipality under the name Tagkawayan. Executive Order No.316 took effect on January 1, 1941.

......The same year Executive Order No.330 signed on March 7, 1941 added additional barrios and sitios to the Municipality of Tagkawayan namely; Bukal del Rosario, Batis, Mapulot, Manatong Ilaya, Manatong Munti, San Luis, San Roque, Sto. Nino, Bamban, Munting Parang, Sakang Didiclim, Tuba, Tikay and Tuklab.

.....But in 1947 upon the recommendation of the Executive Secretary the barrio of Aloneros was returned to the Municipality of Guinayangan under the Executive Order No.78 and created the Cabibihan River as the natural boundary between the two Municipalities.
